I believe that creating a good picture has a few stages.
Like a composer who wants to write a piece of music:
First he has feeling of what he wants to write.
Then he starts writing down the notes.
And after that, he conducts the orchestra in the way it has to sound.
So all begins with understanding yourselves what you want in a good photo. Than you have to able to tell your camera what to do, to achieve a good base negative, positive ore digital file. If you have a good base to work with you have to print this and give the picture your final interpretation.
So what can you learn?
* To see, and understand, what you want to show in a photo.
* Capturing pictures technically the way you want it.
Learning about camera and photographic techniques.
* Printing it the way you want it.
I am a big believer in printing your work yourself. Nowadays we have the computer as a substitute to the darkroom. Every day we will do Photoshop exercises on your own shot photos in the computer. I will teach you the digital darkroom. This last and very important stage is crucial to make a picture truly yours and show all your creativity.
For who are the workshops?
The photography seminars are organized for individuals and small groups, at all levels of experience, from absolute beginners to experienced enthusiasts. I will adapt the programs as much as possible to the individual needs of the participants. So let me know what your interest are and what you want to learn and I will make a program for you.
Digital/Analog.
The seminars are based on digital photography.
There are possibilities for analogue and more professional photography though (studio, flash equipment, bigger format cameras, scanning etc.).
The location
where the seminars are situated is Zagoria, in the mountains of Northern Greece.
A seminar suggestion:
The photo-walk (the perfect creative holiday)
During photo-walks, participants are guided to some of the most beautiful and fascinating spots in the mountains and villages in Zagoria. By experiencing the stunning surroundings of Zagoria the participants will be guided by me in their photography in capturing this beauty. Here you will learn through the problems that present themselves during a day. In the evening we will discuss the pictures taken in combination with learning digital printing.
